What election?

by micki on July 30, 2004 · 0 comments

The people I work with are among the most intelligent I’ve ever met. They also seem to be pretty well-informed. I was alarmed yesterday when I learned none of them had heard of Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge’s request for the authority to “CANCEL and reschedule the election” due to terrorist threat. While I’m fully aware that this story has made its way well through the blogosphere, I am sharing it here just in case anyone missed it.

Come on People!

by micki on July 30, 2004 · 0 comments

Now that John Kerry’s got you all fired up for civil service, it’s time to do your part. Get up off your lazy butt, reach into your wallet, and donate at our AIDS marathon website! We only have until August 31st to raise $6,000 and we’re only about 1/6th of the way there. If each of you donates $25 we’ll raise at least 100 bucks. And then well, I guess we’ll have to look elsewhere.

So help us out, spread the word, (this means you, bloggers!) and please do what you can. It’s a noble cause and Jason and I are thrilled to be a part of it. We need your help!

Please send me a note to let me know you’ve donated as the website seems to be having trouble updating. You can comment on this post or email me at mickikrimmel*at*gmail.com.

I am rude, I am loud, I am inflated.
I am unworthy of this right [...]

Bloggers at the DNC are too busy being interviewed to report on the convention. Despite the tight security and closed roads in Boston, some locals seem to be benefitting from the convention.

July 20, 2004

There’s nothing like getting getting a nice hair cut, dye job, and some top secret military intelligence at the salon. Mel, my very skilled stylist at “Sit Still” let me in on a big secret.
