MIA

by micki on September 28, 2004 · 0 comments

I know I’ve been neglecting the blog lately but thanks to those of you who have been checking in on me. Most of you know, I’m in Virginia dealing with a family emergency. It’s been really difficult but I’m glad we are all here together and we’re coming to terms with our inevitable loss as a family. I’ve been posting to my moblog so you can all keep up with me on my travels. I promise to write more soon. Thanks for your support.

You missed a great party

September 19, 2004

That is what the Republican Party does best we extend freedom.

September 7, 2004

That’s what Giuliani said during his speech at the Republican National Convention. Meanwhile, outside the convention hall, thousands of protesters and unlucky passers-by were being arrested without being read their rights and detained by the hundreds in huge unsanitary holding pens.
I have been scouring the internet for news on this story, getting all worked up, [...]

Close Race = Good Ratings

September 3, 2004

Everyone loves a good fight. Sports matches are most interesting when the competing teams are evenly matched. Everyone loves when runners are neck and neck as they cross the finish line.
I’m beginning to wonder if the Presidential contest is really as close as we think it is. Seems to me, in this fiery political [...]
