It’s comments like Derek’s that make materialism so unpalatable to the uninitiated. Just because something is a chemical reaction (in the case of love, a maddeningly, ridiculously, astronomically complex series of reactions, to say the least) doesn’t make it unimportant or non-existent. That’s the theist’s strawman!

Cute video but there is no such thing as love. Love is merely a word. Love is nothing more than a series of chemical reactions and brain impulses in the brain. Nobody is really “In love”. You being an Atheist should know and understand this. Still it’s nice to pretend.
