I had the pleasure of meeting with up with Jackson West from NewTeeVee last week for what became an unexpectedly philosophical conversation about the current state of the media. Jackson seemed frustrated that his trip to LA seemed to raise more questions than answers around convergence, new media business models and the future of Hollywood. I told him that if a week in LA is all it took for him to figure it out, he’s about to be worth a shit pile of money. I really enjoyed talking with Jackson – it’s nice to know so many people filled with optimism and real ideas about where all this madness is headed.
