Ear infection be damned at least jacky boy’s tail is fully functional.
Awesome.
the video was great, the thoughts were wonderful and you have the most adorable dog ever.
oh and i am alerting the riaa.
This is so relevant with everything happening between Casey and I, it has me crying. Love to you and Jack.
heh, you already know my take on this. preach on.
Words to live by, Micki. (And give Jack a scratch behind the ears for all of us in Internet land.)
Perfectly well stated, Micki! And many of us invest a large portion of our time raising people’s expectations of us only to be miserable with the results. Kinda funny, that.
For all of you desperately yearning for Micki to make another blog…..
You’re welcome.
(Thank FSM for side effects)
finally a new video, it’s always a pleasure to see something about you
amazing!!!!
Success in business is all about managing expectations. Look at Southwest. Basically promise a flying bus and deliver a flying bus and people are happy. Promise luxury and deliver a flying bus and fly Eastern, TWA, and Pan Am’s current routes…
Bingo. You nailed it. Obligations are also a happiness-killer. I hate feeling obligated to do anything.
Late on this, but a nice video. And it’s not only our expectations, but the way we compare ourselves to others. One of my favorite quotes is from Bill Cosby (before he went batshit crazy): “99% of the unhappiness in our lives comes from comparing ourselves to others.” Word.
Sara and I have been very delinquent in doing our podcast, and I was thinking the other day “I wish I cared more”.
In truth, I’m happy with what it was, a little sad that it might be over, and enjoying the stuff that’s taking up our time now. Maybe we’ll revive it, but it’ll be up to us when we do. In the meantime, there’s plenty of good stuff on the internets for people to take up their time with.
Thanks for this, it helped me reaffirm what I was coming to realize myself – that being done with something doesn’t mean failing at it.
Ze was a genius with his “one year” thing, wasn’t he? He got to stop without failing – he just completed his project.
That said, I’d love to see more of Ze, and I’m sure I’m not alone in saying we’d love to see more Micki!
Rock on. You know exactly what to say to get a guy thinking. Thanks.
So glad to see it in video too.
PS You didn’t let anyone down.
I know it is too late and nobody will read it, but I will give my opinion anyway..
Well, what u say in the video is deep, and probably true. But I think u always value ur life on expectations even if u don’t want to. People just can’t help it…another very different thing is how u take it when u can’t meet ur expectations. Maybe it’s just my personal point of view, but I think everybody think always about expectations…
For me the most important thing in life is daring and learning from ur mistakes…
By the way Micki u seem to be a really nice girl
Adios
Fucking brilliant
